under the eyes. Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis juice) Expressed from the aloe vera plant which are found mainly in sunny climates. The leaves store large amounts of water. Aloe vera improves hydration is soothing and healing to all skin types. Chemical analysis has shown the presence of mucopolysacharides, a natural moisturizing factor. Aloe vera is composed of water, the enzymes catalase and cellulose, minerals, calcium, aluminum, iron, zinc, magnesium, sodium, 20 amino acids and carbohydrates. Aloe vera also contains the "youth mineral" potassium. Has renowned healing properties, anti-inflammatory and can soothe the skin and help heal cuts, grazes, burns and insect bites. In 1500 BC the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus recommended aloe for skin care. The Greeks, Chinese, Roman and Arab herbalist recommended aloe for burns and rashes. In the 1930s a radiologist discovered that aloe vera is effective in treating radiation burns. Vegetable Glycerin is an emollient, which makes the skin feel softer and

nonirritating and no allergenic rns. True aloe vera is watery and thin. Tamarind Seed extract
(Tamarindus indica) The paste
extracted from the fruits of the sub-tropical leguminous tree (Tamarindus indica)
has been widely used in herbal medicine and as a foodstuff for centuries.
Recognized for stimulation of skin repair, it also assists in environmental
skin protection and for premature ageing of the skin. Tthe moisturizing
ability of the tamarind has shown to be equal to Hyaluronic Acid in
effectiveness...and is plant based. Chamomile
Extract (Chamaemelum Nobile) reduces swelling, and calms an
irritated scalp, reduces dryness, itching and redness. Chrysin Infra-orbital shadows or "dark circles" under the eye area due to the accumulation of hemoglobin and its coloured degradation products (biliverdin, bilirubin and iron) in the dermis and epidermis. Chrysin stimulates the enzyme (UGT1A1) leading to the clearance of bilirubin. N-Hydroxysuccinimide make the iron soluble, allowing it to be eliminated. Cucumber Extract
(Cucumis sativus) is soothing
and cooling, with slight astringent properties. Rich in beneficial minerals
and amino acids, cucumber moisturizes, smoothes, and softens the skin, and
has anti-itching and anti-inflammatory properties. It gives a cool soothing
feeling to the skin. A mild astringent, aids in removing dead skin cells,
alleviates inflammations and irritants. Cleopatra was said to have used
cucumber juice to preserve her skin. Grape Extract: rich in flavonoids, phytochemicals that have
antioxidant properties like vitamin C and vitamin E. Antioxidants are
believed to prevent and control numerous ailments by safeguarding cells
against the ravages of unstable oxygen molecules called free radicals. Japanese Green Tea:
Reported to fight damage from
excessive sun and environmental damage. Primarily this ancient Asian plant
has ability to prevent free radicals from damaging cell structure further. Wild Mushroom Extract: From Shiitake and Mannetake Mushroom, works as a
natural astringent shown to improve skin tightness and firmness as it
diminishes the appearance of pores.
Wheat Protein: Has
proteins and amino acids that are easily absorbed in the skin (also
potassium, silicon, and sulfur). A hydrating complex offering a combination
of moisture-balancing and film-forming properties which imparts a soothing
feeling. This is a protein from wheat which has been turned partly into water
through hydrolysis. Proteins are the nitrogen carrying constituents of living
cells. Protein treatments are said to be beneficial to hair and skin.
Proteins consist of giant chains of amino acids, the building blocks of life.
The amino acid chains are joined chemically by a peptide bond. Plant proteins
have excellent skin compatibility and deposit a protective film on the skin
and hair. The film is smoothing and moisturizing. Aqua Biomin:
Ocean minerals containing high
concentrations of Selenium, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Calcium, Germanium
intended to replace these necessary minerals depleated through daily
environmental exposure. Soy Extract: soy isoflavones are most potent of the antioxidant phytoestrogens; supports elasticity and firmness, helping keep skin soft and flexible as is needed when rebuilding damaged collagen. Wild Yam Extract: act as a natural peptide that mimics dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in the skin. As one of the building blocks of the body, improved DHEA levels have been correlated with improved sense of well being, reduced body fat and improve skin tone and moisture, although many associate it with menopause. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps speed tissue regeneration resulting in normalization of damaged skin GuaranaFruit Extract
(Paulinia Cupana) Guaraná is a creeping shrub native
to the Amazon (and particularly the regions of Manaus and Parintins). In the lushness of the Brazilian Amazon
where it originates, it often grows to 40ft high Guaraná has been used in
body care products for its tonifying and astringent properties, and in the

parkii) is solid and comes
from the natural fat obtained from the karite tree grown in West and Central
Africa. It is often referred to as karite butter. Shea butter is an
emollient. It is extremely therapeutic, helping to heal cracked, aged and
damaged skin. Its chemical constituents help to heal bruising and soreness.
Shea butter penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It has
vitamin A, E and is highly compatible with skin. Shea butter has a high
content of unsaponifiables and cinnamic esters, which have antimicrobial and
moisturizing properties and provide protection from the UV rays of the sun.
Unsaponifiables are a large group of compounds called plant steroids or
sterolins. They soften the skin, have superior moisturizing effect on the
upper layer of the skin and reduce scars. African healers have used shea
butter for over thousands of years as the ideal treatment for dry or aging
skin. It contains a high content of non-saponifiable fatty acids gives it the
ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Shea butter also
protects the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing
cellular degeneration. Sweet Almond
Oil (Prunus amygdales) Sweet almond oil is pressed from almond
kernels. The almond tree is cultivated in Southern Europe, the Mediterranean

IU per ounce. A light nearly odorless oil. Sweet almond oil is said to have great
nutritional value for all skin types. Has a similar make up to baby’s sebum,
the oil naturally produced by the skin to protect it and is easily absorbed.
Contain glucosides, minerals, and vitamins and is rich in protein. Sweet
almond oil has very little natural smell and can be used as a perfume base.

process in the skin and promotes soft and supple skin. As an antioxidant it
defends the skin. Helpful in reducing scars and promotes healing. It also
acts as a natural preservative for products and is obtained by the vacuum
distillation of edible vegetable oils. Vitamin E oil is an emollient.
